Teach English in Africa

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mungere Secondary students live in a remote Maasai community, where English is rarely spoken, and primary school is taught in Swahili. Yet, Tanzanian secondary school curriculum is English-based and the language barrier can be an obstacle to learning. Teachers engage students to expand their math vocabulary, actively participating in extra-curricular activities designed to broaden understanding of math.
Responsibilities
* Engage students through interactive pedagogy
* Contribute innovative lesson plans
* Manage classroom activities
* Coordinate extra-curricular activities and sports
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 4-year university degree in education, math or related field
* ESL/TEFL or related certification
* Experience in the classroom
* Commitment to interactive and engaging education
* Professionalism and passion
* Experience traveling, living and/or teaching abroad preferred
* Interest in Tanzania’s indigenous cultures and traditions
* Ability to live in a developing community
* Flexibility to work individually and as part of a diverse team
