Teach English in Japan

SALARY: Starting salary of between 230,000-250,000yen a month
Keio Academy, a Japanese company based in Nakatsu-City, Oita Prefecture is seeking 3 enthusiastic, experienced English teachers to work full time beginning in Mid-March 2013. The initial contract time will be for 1 year but can be extended further upon successful completion. We are looking for individuals who have a strong desire to teach and who feel satisfaction helping students reach their goals.
We are hiring for 3 different types of positions:
1. Kindergarten teacher who will teach young students at a number of different schools. This teacher will need to understand conversational Japanese and have professional experience working with children.
2. ALT position for elementary school Student and teaching business level (TOEIC, private) adult classes. This will be a position where the hired teacher will travel to schools of different levels and teach a wide variety of classes.
3. Non-ALT position teaching students from Kindergarten-Adult. This position is mainly for teaching within the Keio building itself and occasionally at outside kindergarten schools. Small class sizes and long-term students.
All teachers hired will work 5 days a week for a total of 40 working hours per week. There is a maximum of 26.5 classroom-teaching hours and the rest of the time is for office work and lesson planning. The teachers hired must also be able to participate in and help plan the various yearly events (such as, Christmas presentation, English summer camp, field trips and international parties).
Pay and benefits:
-Starting salary of between 230,000-250,000yen a month based on experience and skill.
-5 weeks of paid vacation (25 days plus the connected weekends) spread out throughout the year, 5 days of which are selectable.
-Keio will provide reimbursement for the cost of your airline ticket used to travel to Japan (up to 100,000yen)
-Visa sponsorship available
-Free access to a company car for required work travel and can also use a company car for personal use at a nominal fee
-Keio will help to find an apartment for the hired teachers and will pay part of the key money.
-Japanese language lessons will be available.
-A native English speaker. English must be your FIRST and primary language
-Bachelorfs degree from college or university
-Have the desire to live and work in Japan and for a Japanese company
-Professional, responsible attitude for work
-A friendly, outgoing attitude for students
-Have flexibility to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
-Must enjoy working with small children
-Priority will be given to applicants with TESOL/CELTA/TEFL or ESL certification and/or experience teaching children
-This position requires a Japanese or International driverfs license.
-Fluency in Japanese is not required but a basic understanding is needed to communicate with the Japanese teachers.
