Amity offers a bonus system for teachers who instruct 28 or more lessons on average per week in our monthly business report. Teachers are eligible for this benefit as soon as they begin teaching alone in their classroom.

All Amity teachers are enrolled into the Japanese Social Insurance System. This system provides teachers with comprehensive health insurance, which includes coverage of pre-existing conditions, optical care, and dental care. Teachers are also automatically enrolled in the Japanese pension plan.
Approximately 30,000 yen will be deducted from the teacher’s monthly salary for the Social Insurance and Pension system. Though the cost of health insurance is non-refundable, the Japanese government offers a pension refund in 6 and 12-month increments. Teachers must apply for a refund through the Social Insurance Agency of Japan after leaving Japan permanently. For more details, please consult the SIA website: http://www.sia.go.jp/e/index.html
