Teach English in Malaysia
CITY: Kuala Lumpur
START DATE: Mid February, 2013
SALARY: Starting salary is RM6000 a month based on minimum experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The school calendar runs from September to mid January when we break for a 3-4 week Chinese New year holiday. Then from mid-February till end of June. Teachers get generally the same holiday’s as the students’ except that we run holiday programs during the summer holiday period which each teacher must be involved in. These holiday programs are paid in addition to your salary and run for 8-10 days
REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for teachers who have a strong ESL/EAL background. Applicants MUST be able to teach all levels of grammar. If you can understand and communicate with basic Mandarin this would be an added advantage.
Basic teacher qualifications are as follows:
-Degree in a relevant discipline
-Preference will be given to those with 5 or more years teaching experience within a primary or secondary school environment.
-In addition to a degree the applicant should possess a Cert or Diploma in CELTA or TESOL
-Must be culturally aware
-Needs to have a strong grasp of grammar
-Must be in Malaysia by the 15th of February
-Must be a passport holder from either Australia, New Zealand, Canada, America, England.
