SALARY: experience with project-based learning and teaching. (MA, $32,000; PhD, $35,000)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Contract faculty position available immediately. Responsibilities: 12-hour credit load each semester (16 contact hours per week) teaching a variety of skills-based courses in the Intensive English Institute (reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, etc.); hold office hours; attend cohort and faculty meetings; collaborate with the administrative team and IEI colleagues to develop, revise, and improve the curriculum and procedures of the IEI.
REQUIREMENTS:
MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Second Language Acquisition (SLA), or closely related field by date of appointment OR MA in education, humanities, or social/cognitive sciences by date of appointment plus coursework/training in TESOL, SLA or closely related field or comparable teaching experience; record of effective teaching at the college or university level; computer competency; ability to work as part of a team. Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Second Language Acquisition (SLA) or closely related field by date of appointment;
