Teach English in Japan
CITY: Gunma
START DATE: Positions start in April, 2014, with a paid training and orientation session in March, 2014
SALARY: Salary: Full-time native English teachers: JPY 230,000 ~ 300,000/month
WORKING CONDITIONS:
– Salary: Full-time native English teachers: JPY 230,000 ~ 300,000/month
– Contract renewal bonus
Kokumin Hoken (National insurance) (70%coverage): School will pay half of the premium.
– Consecutive working hours (no split shifts)
– 10 sick/personal leave days, in addition to national holidays. Summer vacation – 2 weeks, winter vacation approximately 10 days
– Housing:
Furnished/Non-furnished apartments are available. Additional cost for an apartment with basic furnishings (\4,000)
Rent ranges from 51000-60000yen/mo
Teachers are responsible for paying utilities
Cleaning fee 10000yen
A 1 bedroom apartment is for one person, has 1 bedroom+1 living room & kitchen + bathroom, about 30m2.
– Airfare and moving allowance reimbursement upon arriving in Japan (for teachers outside of Japan)
– Holidays/Vacation
Summer: approx. 10days
Winter: approx. 5 days
Spring: approx. 3 days
National Holidays: approx. 5 days/year based on the Japanese calendar)
Paid Holidays: 10 days (including sick leave)
– This Contract is a 2 year renewable contract(negotiable).
– A bonus will be paid at the end of the every school year.(March)

English Conversation Teacher
– Preschool (Ages1-2 – 30 and 40 minute daily English lessons)
– 45 minute ESL Class→Ages 4 – Grade 6
– Teach Eikaiwa and afternoon classes, Elementary students ~ Adults
– Prepare age-appropriate crafts and activities
– Teach students following the company`s curriculum and teaching methodology effectively, offering attractive lessons for students
– Evaluate students
– Complete and update daily teaching records
– Attend required staff meetings, seminars and other activities
– Native level English speaker
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an English speaking country
– Be able to work for a minimum of one year
– TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA experience (at least 120 hours) or equivalent certificate is favorable
– Teaching experience and/or instructor training experience is favorable
