Teach English in Japan

SALARY: 250,000 yen per month
WORKING CONDITIONS:
We are seeking a teacher who is friendly, approachable and LOVES working with both children and adults. The teacher MUST enjoy singing and dancing, be willing to accommodate to new teaching techniques and company expectations, and have a strong work ethic. Lessons are taught using music, rhythm, various materials (flash cards, hand puppets, story books, textbooks, etc.) and activities based on our curriculum.
The position is full-time with a one year contract and 25 to 28 teaching hours per week. The remainder of the working time is used for meetings, lesson planning, classroom preparation and various duties. The starting date for the position is March 14, 2014. Our school is open Monday through Saturday, and the teachers have a 5.5-day work week. We also have approximately 8 weeks of fixed holiday throughout the school year.
Salary
• 250,000 yen per month
• 2-week training period (fixed rate per day)
• A monthly housing fee of 50,000 yen will be deducted
Accommodation
Company housing will be provided for 50,000 yen per month. No key money or deposit is required. The housing unit is a furnished 2-bedroom apartment five minutes from the main school on foot. The teacher is responsible for Gas, Electricity, Water, Telephone, TV, Cable, Internet, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Native English speaker
• 4 year university degree
• Valid Driver’s License and a Valid International Driver’s License
• Good health
Preferred
• Teaching certificate
• Experience teaching young children
• International teaching experience
• Japanese language skills
• Experience living in a foreign country
• Musical abilities
