Teach English in Japan

SALARY: SALARY: ¥240,000/month for first year.
SENDAI, JAPAN: Two full-time ESL/EFL instructors needed from the beginning of April in 2013, to teach English communication skills at a private college, Tohoku Gaigo Kanko Senmon Gakko (Tohoku Foreign Language & Tourism College), in Sendai, a city of nearly one million in northeastern Honshu. Mostly about 10~20 students in a class, but a few classes are bigger. University graduate with TEFL/TESL experience preferred. One-year contract (two-year contract renewable).
JOB DUTIES: Up to 8 hours of teaching, curriculum and materials development, meetings, and workshops per day. (About 21 teaching hours per week)
SALARY: ¥240,000/month for first year.
PAID VACATION TIME: In addition to all Japanese national holidays, 15 days in August, 15 days at Christmas/New Year’s, all with full pay. 7 days in other time all with full pay.
OTHER BENEFITS: Round trip airfare will be paid. The school will provide the furnished apartment, and pay the initial deposits, except for one-month rent deposit which will be applied to any cleaning and damage charges accruing when the teacher evacuates the premises. A teacher pays monthly payment about 45,000~48,000 yen and utility bills, and also a lease fee of 3,000 yen per month for the furnishings. The health insurance and pension plan will be provided, and the school will pay half of the cost. Sendai is rated by the Japanese as one of the three best cities to live in Japan. In winter, good skiing is less than one and half-hour away by car, bus, or train.
