Teach English in Japan

Enthusiastic English teacher wanted by Japanese conversation school for teaching position starting in July.
We are looking for a teacher who is comfortable working with both children and adults and has completed an ESL course or a university degree. This position is tailored for applicants interested in coming to Japan on a Working Holiday Visa and is therefore best suited to Australian, Canadian, Irish, New Zealand or UK nationals.
Our students range from elementary school age children taught in group lessons through to adults and businessmen studying in either private or group lessons. Classes are held in the late afternoon and evening for a total of 20 teaching hours per week. The salary is 220,000 yen per month with a 150,000 yen bonus on the successful completion of a one year contract. A comfortable, fully furnished one-bedroom apartment is provided (no key money necessary) with rent and utilities being deducted directly from salary. Subsidized medical care (covering 70% of costs) will also be arranged and paid for by the school.
An initial training period with experienced teachers prior to taking over classes will be followed up with an ongoing one-on-one training program covering teaching approaches, techniques, classroom management and self- assessment. Additional assistance will be given to help the new teacher become familiar with the texts and teaching materials we have available.
Our major requirement is enthusiasm for teaching and a willingness to learn new ideas.
A valid International Driver’s License is a necessity as some driving to outside classes will be required. The teacher will have his/her own car for business use and it will be available for their private use too.

Full visa sponsorship is available to any teacher with a degree who wishes to extend their stay in Japan once the initial one-year contract has been successfully completed.
