Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate courses in the areas indicated above
Advise individual students
Engage in scholarly research activity
Contribute to university and community service
Collaborate with colleagues on program development, including English across the Curriculum initiative
Work effectively and collegiately in a multicultural learning environment
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications for the position:
An appropriate terminal degree in a linguistics or ESOL-related area with clear evidence of such coursework and relevant capstone, thesis or dissertation
Experience in university EFL/ESL/EAP programs
A record of excellent teaching
Evidence of scholarly research activity, preferably at an institution of higher education;
Excellent communication skills
Background in assessment research and application methods desirable
Prior experience of living or working in a multi-cultural environment, and a knowledge of Japanese language and/or culture are desirable
