Working hours: 920am to 540pm, Monday to Friday, with one-hour lunch break (teaching hours and office hours)

Curriculum: ESL textbooks for Bilingual Program where set curriculum is provided, with strong emphasis on grammar excellence
Class size: around 30 students
Class period: 40 min. long

Dorm: FREE furnished single dormitory rooms available for teachers
Students’ age group: G1 to G6
Number of foreign teachers onboard: 6, some have stayed for 3+ years.

SALARY: The annual salary is $35,000 USD pre tax and $26,400 USD after taxes

Additional details:
Applicants will relocate to Hsinchu, Taiwan.
A furnished 2-bedroom apartment is available to rent for $200 USD/month.
Applicant must be patient and work well with children.
Applicants do not need to know Mandarin Chinese.
The annual salary is $35,000 USD pre tax and $26,400 USD after taxes, including the optional bonus.
The contract is for a 12-month term and 40 hour work weeks every Monday through Friday.
Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, in addition to national holidays we offer seven days paid vacation upon completion of contract terms, and reimbursement of round-trip airfare to and from permanent address.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be of United States citizenship.
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in elementary education.
Applicants must have a strong command of English grammar for Grades K-6, including a solid understanding of sentence structures, parts of speech, punctuation, etc. Applicants must have experience with and be comfortable creating their own curriculum using a basic framework that includes subjects such as spelling, grammar, reading, and conversational skills. Applicants must speak clearly, enunciating consonants, vowels, and blends. Applicants must be able to plan daily lessons that are organized, structured, innovative, and creative. Finally, applicants will be expected to collaborate with fellow teachers on the curriculum and motivational strategies for the students.
