The successful candidate will have a commitment to teach in a non -categorical special education program and a desire to pursue a research agenda in special education or teacher education. S/he also will have the opportunity to teach in interdisciplinary programs.
Earned PhD or EdD in special education or an education field preferred, three years teaching experience in special education classroom with at least some of that experience in the secondary special education classroom, and technology skills in teaching. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate course work in special education, student teaching supervision in special education for elementary and secondary and secondary student teaching for the general education classroom. Preference may be given to individuals with training also in ESL/ELL/Bilingual education.
