Teach English in Honduras

SALARY: 7000 Lempira {$350} monthly stipend
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Lago Yojoa Bilingual School in central Honduras is in need of 6 or 7 intelligent, kindhearted, hardworking and caring teachers for the following school year, September 2013 – June 2014.
The school is located in rural Honduras; surrounded by natural beauty such as Lake Yojoa and Pulhahpenzak waterfall. The school continues to grow, and currently in it’s sixth year, educates approximately 400 children, from kindergarten to Grade 9.
Living in a conservative environment means that our parents and families can easily be offended and do not want us to employ teachers who :
1) use drugs,
2) consume excessive amounts of alcohol or cigarettes,
3) have visible body tattoos,
4) engage in recreational sexual conduct
5) are opposed or conflicted with traditional Christian Values
We kindly ask that our candidates will be respectful of this conservative and family oriented culture.

The benefits that we will be providing for the teachers include:
> 7000 Lempira {$350} monthly stipend
> Comfortable housing located close to the school, with internet and other utilities included.
> Our bus is provided for transportation to and from school daily and to and from the airport.
> Training and orientation guidance upon arrival in August. (We require that all teachers arrive 1 week before school begins)
REQUIREMENTS:
Who we are seeking:
As a bilingual school, the teachers we require will need to teach some or all of the following subjects:
Mathematics, Science, English, Phonics, Spelling, Reading, Art, and/or possibly Music and physical education (With the higher grade teachers likely specializing and the lower grade teachers being more varied).
We are seeking, kind, patient, driven, and helpful candidates to come teach our amazing students and integrate into the peaceful community here in Honduras.
