Peru

peru lima Peru

Peru is the third largest country in South America, with a rich Spanish culture and great tourism. Peru is known for its  art,  beautiful landscapes, music and festivals. Peru has more than a thousand festivals every year.

As beautiful as Peru is, poverty is a major problem. Homeless children and beggars are a common site in larger cities. As you might expect, most English teaching in Peru is volunteer work. There are paid jobs but salaries are low.

Peru can offer teachers a great opportunity to help disadvantaged students. Teaching in Peru is not as financially rewarding as in some other countries, however it will be difficult to find more appreciative students. If you are considering teaching English as a career it might be a great start to get some experience and contribute to a poor country.
