Teach English in Ireland (Visa Requirements)

St. Patrick's Cathedral Irelabd
In order to work in Ireland, non-EU citizens should apply for a work permit before taking up employment. Applications can be made from within the country, so it’s possible to travel to Ireland as a tourist to look for work or attend interviews before a visa has been issued.
Applications for work permits can be made in person or by a prospective employer in your absence, and should be directed to the Employment Permits Section of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
You will need the following documents:
A completed Employment Permit Application Form.
Two recently taken passport-sized photographs.
Documentary evidence that a labour market needs test has been undertaken.
Documentary evidence of the employee’s certified qualifications.
The appropriate fee.
Applications may take up to 8 weeks to be processed.
