Frontiers Foundation is a federally chartered non-profit charitable organization that has been working on community development projects in First Nations communities in the far north of Canada since 1968. Our programme brings international groups of volunteers to small, usually isolated, First Nations communities to assist on a variety of community development projects with most of the volunteers working in community schools as tutors and teaching assistants. Our volunteers help to bring badly needed skills to the schools and often work with special needs children and children with FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome).
