Working Conditions:
We are currently looking for several teachers to join us in Dongying, Shandong Province, China for the September 2012 school year.
A little about our school:
- We are a primary school with approximately 1,000 students Grades 1 – 5.
- Our class sizes range from the low twenties to the low thirties.
- We have a running track, basketball courts, and ping pong tables on campus.
- We have a cafeteria serving breakfast/lunch/dinner five days a week.
- We offer Chinese teaching assistants to help you with things inside and outside the classroom.
- We offer a curriculum with teaching materials designed specifically for our school.
- We offer support in designing lessons and getting around Dongying from a teaching supervisor who has been at the school for five years.

A little about our contract:
- We offer a net pay of 6,000-7,000 RMB based on experience and qualifications.
- The contract is from Septemer 2012 – June 2013 (10 months)
- We offer airfare reimbursement
- We offer medical insurance reimbursemt
- The contract includes a one month vacation for the Winter Holiday (Chinese New Year) as well as all standard public holidays.
- Our working days are Monday – Friday. Since this is a real school (not a training centre) the usual working hours are 8:45 – 4:00 and includes a 3 hour lunch break.
A little about Dongying:
- Dongying is a fairly new city, springing up around the discovery of a large oil field in the 1980′s.
- Being a new city, Dongying has attracted people from all over China with wages above the national average. This means that you can find authentic Chinese food from all over China.
- Being a prosperous city, crime is low in Dongying especially when compared to larger cities such as Beijing or Shanghai.
- There is no shortage of shopping areas in Dongying, with everything from barter markets to imported designer clothing available.
- Dongying also has multiple Western Restaurants and several chain restaurants such as KFC, McDonalds and Pizza Hut for a little taste of back home
Requirements:
- B.A. in any discipline
- 2 years work experience (any job)
